Hossein Hosseinkhaniの不正による撤回論文数は計7報。田畑泰彦の不正論文の撤回数は6報、うち確認できる範囲で責任著者のものは5報。

撤回論文のレジェンドをみると「Fig. 5. Tissue appearance of mouse muscles following the intramuscular injection of pSV–LacZ–cationized gelatin complexes with or without the subsequent US irradiation. US irradiation for 60 s was performed 10 (C), 120 (D), and 180 min (E) after injection of the complex containing 50 mg of pSV–LacZ and the treated muscle was observed 2 days later: (A) neither the complex injection nor US irradiation, (B) the complex injection, and (C–E) the complex injection and US irradiation.」
異なる条件に同じ画像を流用したのだから捏造、改ざん。この1件だけみると過失と思うかもしれないが、同様の不正を大量に行っており故意と言われても仕方ない。他にも図の再使用の不正があった。
