Nutr. 130: 171–176, 2000) the undersigned authors would like to note the following: This paper contains numerous statements reproduced in whole or in part from an article originally published by Sabate et al., “Effects of Walnuts on Serum Lipid Levels and Blood Pressure in Normal Men” [N. Engl. J. Med. 328:603–607 (1993)]. The New England Journal of Medicine holds the copyright to the 1993 publication. Because adequate attribution was not provided, the paper has been retracted.--

元論文と盗用論文は同一の著者が誰もいないので、盗用論文が元論文を盗用したのは間違いない。「numerous statements」と言及されたので大量に盗用した。
岩本昌子は九大で博士（農学）を取得。
博士論文

盗用論文は2000年発行で、博士論文は2002年3月発行。通常課程博士は在学中の筆頭著者論文を博士論文の基礎にするし、タイトルを比較しても盗用論文が博士論文の基礎になった可能性がある。九州大学はこれについても調査する必要がある。
もし不正な方法で博士を取得し、昇進、採用されたならその点でも不正である。かつてアニリール・セルカンは盗用博士論文で得た博士をもとに採用された事が不正な方法による採用と判断され懲戒解雇相当の理由の一つになった。
また北川浩史は自ら捏造、改ざんした論文をもとに群馬大学に採用された事が経歴詐称と判断され諭旨解雇相当になった。
中村学園大学はこの点もきちんと調査する必要がある。不正な方法で採用、昇進するのは許されない。
