Hossein Hosseinkhani（経歴、生体材料）国立台湾科技大学副教授、元京都大学院生、田畑泰彦（Yasuhiko Tabata、経歴、不正発覚時57歳、生体材料等）京都大学再生医科学研究所生体組織工学研究部門生体材料学分野教授の論文3報が捏造、改ざんで撤回された。編集長の強制撤回。田畑泰彦は3論文で責任著者。
また捏造論文（２）はHossein Hosseinkhaniの博士論文第７章の基礎であり、この部分は本論の一部。（２）の捏造、改ざんは博士論文の主旨に影響する可能性があり、不正な方法による博士取得のため、博士号が取り消される可能性がある。私の知る限り、もし取り消されれば京都大学の学位取り消しは史上初。田畑泰彦は博士論文の主査。本件は京都大学に連絡済み。

Figures 8(A), (C), (E), and (F) are composed of rotated and/or manipulated figures previously published as Figures 5 (A), (E), (D), and (B)/(C) in reference [1], describing experiments with mouse tumor tissue and mouse muscle tissue, respectively. Figures 8(B) and 8(D) are manipulations of the same figure 8(A): Figure 8(B) by 90 degrees clockwise rotation and 60% stretching, and Figure 8(D) by enlarging and coloring. The same Figure 8 has been duplicated in reference [2]. Figure 2(D) is identical to Figure 1(F) in reference [3].--

The other parts of the gels 1(A), 1(B) and 1(D) are clearly different, whereas gels 1(F) and 1(H) are fully identical.--

撤回公告によると3論文ともimage manipulation、即ち捏造、改ざんが撤回理由。結構流用や加工をやったという感じ。不正の態様からいって明らかに意図的。この件を京大が調査したか不明。誰かが編集側に申立て強制撤回されたのかもしれない。田畑泰彦は3論文で責任著者だから責任を免れない。
京大は本件を調査、処分する必要がある。
編集側が強制撤回したのだから著者は自主撤回しなかったという事だ。一般に編集側の強制撤回は非常に不名誉。著者は研究者としてのモラルがありませんと公言されているようなものだ。本件は明らかで悪質な捏造、改ざんがありましたという公表でもある。
研究不正の原因や動機、発覚の経緯などは今後の京大の調査結果公表や報道がないとわからないので、それを待つしかない。
京大は本件をきちんと調査、処分し、再発防止に努めて頂きたい。
また、上で述べたように捏造論文（２）はHossein Hosseinkhaniの博士論文第７章の基礎で、本論の一部。

田畑泰彦が主査。田畑泰彦は捏造論文（２）の責任著者というだけでなく、捏造論文が本論の基礎の一部になった博士論文の主査。適切に確認や審査を行う義務があった。もしこの博士論文にも捏造、改ざんがあり、不正な方法で博士を取得させたのなら責任は非常に重い。京都大学初の学位取り消しという点を考えるともっと重い。もし取り消されれば京都大学創立以来初の不祥事となるかもしれない。
京都大学はこの博士論文を厳正に調査し、不正が認められた場合は相当な対応をしなければならない。
なお、本件はネット、紙面媒体（新聞、雑誌等）を通じて、本ブログが第一報。
