12日にInternational Energy Agency (IEA) が最新のWorld Energy Outlook 2014を公表。世界の指導的なエネルギーシンクタンクによると少なくともあと20年は化石燃料の需要が増える見通し[1]。温室効果ガス削減にはアメリカと中国の活動が重要。最近アメリカと中国がそのことで会合したようだ[2]。
「Speaking at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Beijing, US President Barack Obama pledged to cut total US greenhouse-gas emissions by 26–28% below 2005 levels by 2025. At the same time, President Xi Jinping said that China will stop its emissions from growing by 2030 at the latest. [2]」
